Where to get Power BI Connector for SAP #
When the connector is generally available it will be distributed through the SAP Store. An SAP BTP administrator subscribes the tenant to the connector’s service plan and assigns the connector’s role collections to end users.
What you’ll need before installing #
- An SAP BTP global account with permissions to subscribe to services from the SAP Store.
- An SAP destination configured against the SAP system you want to read from. Power BI Connector for SAP reads SAP OData services through this destination.
- An identity provider trusted by your BTP subaccount, so users can sign in with their corporate credentials.
What happens after installation #
Once the subscription is active and your role collection is assigned, you sign in at the connector URL and land on the Data Sources page. From there, follow the Quickstart to mint an access token, create a data source, and connect Power BI Desktop.
