Why can’t I see some fields or custom objects in my data export? #

If some fields or objects are missing, it’s usually related to Salesforce permissions.

The Power BI Connector only shows data that you have access to in Salesforce.

Common reasons #

1. Missing Salesforce permissions #

  • You don’t have access to a specific object (e.g., a custom app)
  • You don’t have permission to view certain fields
  • Field-level security may restrict visibility

2. Access to a product or app is limited #

  • If a Salesforce product or installed app is not available to you
  • Its objects will not appear in the connector

3. Object or field is not selected #

  • The object may be available, but not selected in your data source
  • The field may not be checked during setup

What to check #

  • Confirm access to the object in Salesforce
  • Check field-level permissions
  • Make sure the object and fields are selected in your data source
