The data sources you own keep working after you leave; the connector never deletes them as a side effect of an account change. What you and your Admin do next determines who ends up responsible for them.
- You transfer ownership before you leave — the clean handoff. See Transfer Data Source Ownership.
- An Admin transfers ownership after you’ve left — admins can re-assign any data source without needing the previous owner’s involvement, which covers the case where ownership wasn’t transferred in time.
- GDPR right-to-erasure — if your account has to be removed entirely, the connector anonymizes the owner field on every data source you owned rather than deleting the data sources. Your personal identity is scrubbed; the data sources themselves keep refreshing and remain available to anyone they were shared with. An admin can still transfer those (now anonymously-owned) data sources to a real owner afterward.
The OData URL is preserved through ownership transfer and through anonymization — any Power BI report bound to one of your data sources keeps refreshing as soon as a valid access token is supplied by whoever is using it.
